Feel free to see which one is to your liking and feel free to customise it to suit your taste. While not important it is great to find a cocktail that not only tastes great but also one that matches the style and theme of your wedding. For example if you have a Gatsby themed wedding you may want a classic vodka martini. If you are having a beach wedding then a then a Mojito is more of what you need.

Handy Tips For Wedding Cocktails

A handy hint is that 30ml is equivalent to one small shot glass. So if you see 30ml its roughly one shot, 15ml half a shot and so on. So get ready for a fun weekend at home to try out these delicious wedding cocktails. Invite some friends around as it makes “experimenting” more fun.

Traditional Champagne Cocktail

  • 3 drops bitters
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 30ml Cognac
  • 120 ml chilled Champagne
  • Wedding Cocktails: ChampagneDrop bitters onto a sugar cube, let the bitters soak into the sugar cube.
  • Place the  sugar cube into a Champagne flute.
  • Add the Cognac
  • Top with Champagne.

Classic Vodka Martini

  • 15 ml Dry Vermouth
  • 60 ml vodka
  • Handful of ice
  • Wedding Cocktails: Classic Vodka MartiniPour a small amount of dry vermouth in a chilled martini glass and swirl to coat the inside of the glass.
  • Dispose of excess vermouth
  • In a shaker full of ice, swirl or stir the vodka and dry vermouth
  • Strain into glass
  • Serving suggestion: Garnish with olives or a lemon twist.

Long Island Iced Tea

  • 15 ml vodka
  • 15 ml rum
  • 30 ml sweet and sour mix
  • 15 ml gin
  • 15 ml tequila
  • 30 ml cola, or to taste
  • 15 ml orange-flavoured liqueur
  • 1 lemon slice
  • Wedding Cocktails: Long Island Iced TeaPour a small amount of dry vermouth in a chilled martini glass and swirl to coat the inside of the glass.
  • Dispose of excess vermouth
  • In a shaker full of ice, swirl or stir the vodka, rum, sweet and sour mix, gin, tequila, orange liqueur and cola
  • Strain into glass
  • Serving suggestion: Garnish with olives or a lemon twist.

Manhattan

  • 60 ml Rye Whiskey
  • 30 ml Italian vermouth
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 Cocktail Glass
  • Maraschino Cherry
  • Wedding Cocktails: Manhattan CocktailStir the whiskey, vermouth and bitters with cracked ice.
  • Strain into in a chilled cocktail glass
  • Garnish with twist or add a maraschino cherry. If you buy them in a jar just drain the syrup

Mojito

  • 25 ml sugar syrup
  • 30 ml Lime Juice
  • 2 mint sprigs
  • 60 ml sparkling water
  • 60 ml rum
  • 4 ice cubes
  • Tall Glass
  • Wedding Cocktails: Mojito CocktailAdd the sugar syrup, lime juice, mint sprigs and sparkling water into tall glass. Add lime wedges for decoration
  • Muddle gently, use a small pestle to smush the ingredients gently.
  • Add ice cubes and pour the rum on top
  • Stir well

Cosmopolitan

  • 45ml vodka
  • 30ml sour mix
  • 30ml cranberry juice
  • 15ml cointreau
  • Lemon or Lime twist (garnish)
  • Wedding Cocktails: Cosmopolitan CocktailFill martini glass with ice to chill the put to one side.
  • Pour the vodka, sour mix, cranberry juice, Cointreau into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well.
  • Tip out the ice from martini glass.
  • Strain drink into glass and garnish with lemon or lime twist.

Margarita

  • 60 ml tequila
  • 30 ml Cointreau
  • 30 ml lime juice
  • Salt for garnish
  • Lime slice for garnish (optional)
  • Cocktail glass
  • Wedding Cocktails: Margarita CocktailPut tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice in cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Moisten rim of cocktail glass with lime juice.
  • Holding glass upside down, dip rim into salt. Shake and strain drink into glass and serve.

Kir Royale

  • 15mL Crème de Cassis
  • 150mL Sparkling Wine
  • 1 Cherry
  • Wedding Cocktails: RoyalePour Crème de Cassis into a champagne flute.
  • Gently pour Sparkling Wine.
  • Garnish with cherry.

Rosé Crush

  • 90 ml rosé wine
  • 45 ml orange juice
  • 45 ml cranberry juice
  • Ice
  • Garnish with cranberries, raspberries and mint
  • Wedding Cocktails: Rose CrushCombine rosé wine, orange juice, and cranberry juice in an ice-filled shaker.
  • Shake well
  • Strain into ice-filled glass
  • Add garnish (optional)

Blooming Champagne Cocktail

  • 2 drops rose water
  • 15 ml hibiscus syrup
  • 1 hibiscus flower
  • 120 ml Sparkling wine

  • 20 ml Absolut Vodka
  • 20 ml Cherry
  • Liqueur

  • Strawberry or Raspberry for garnish (optional)

  • Shake and strain into chilled cocktail glass
