Event Overview
Pink Caviar Events partnered with JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) to style their prestigious Night of Champ1ons Fundraising Dinner. Held at the Royal Randwick Racecourse’s Winx Stadium, the event welcomed over 400 guests for an unforgettable evening of fine dining, entertainment, and philanthropy. The celebration combined glamour with purpose, raising vital funds to support type 1 diabetes research while honouring champions within the community.
Objectives & Brief
The brief from JDRF was clear: deliver styling that would create a sophisticated, elegant atmosphere aligned with their event theme, while setting the stage for a night of celebration and fundraising. The styling needed to strike a balance between high-end glamour and inviting warmth, ensuring guests felt immersed in the occasion while complementing the evening’s entertainment, auction activities, and fundraising elements. The goal was to provide a visual environment worthy of the incredible cause and the calibre of the guests in attendance.

Our Approach & Planning
Pink Caviar Events crafted a luxury-inspired styling concept built around navy, sparkle, and candlelight, an aesthetic chosen to symbolise both elegance and hope. At the core of the design were navy sequin tablecloths, which added a touch of drama and sophistication to the venue. To bring height and grandeur to the room, we installed tall, clear candelabras, their elegant lines providing both a modern and timeless element. These were paired with shorter floating candle centrepieces, which added layers of shimmering light across the tables, creating a warm and intimate glow.
The combination of sequins and candlelight ensured that the room came alive as the evening unfolded, complementing both the formal proceedings and the vibrant entertainment program. Every styling decision was made to ensure the atmosphere reflected the gravity of the cause while encouraging a sense of celebration and generosity.
Event Execution
On the night, Winx Stadium was transformed into a glamorous fundraising venue. Guests were welcomed into an environment styled to perfection, where the sparkle of sequins and the flicker of candlelight created a truly memorable setting.
The styling provided the perfect backdrop for a star-studded evening that included a performance by acclaimed entertainer Rob Mills, appearances by special guests, and a curated program of dining, auctions, and raffles. A highlight of the night was the grand raffle draw, where one lucky guest won a brand-new KIA Stonic, an exciting addition that amplified the energy in the room.
Silent auction items and exquisite dining experiences further elevated the guest experience. At the same time, our styling ensured the focus remained on the purpose of the evening: raising funds for type 1 diabetes research.
Results & Impact
The Night of Champ1ons Fundraising Dinner successfully combined elegance, entertainment, and philanthropy. Guests were inspired not only by the performances and program but also by the event styling, which contributed to the atmosphere of sophistication and celebration. The fundraising efforts of the night brought the community together, making a tangible impact in support of diabetes research.
