Pink Caviar Events partnered once again with Knox Grammar School to deliver their much-anticipated annual themed celebration. This year’s secret theme was revealed as the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, a bold and colourful journey into the whimsical world of Wonderland. The event transported guests into an immersive setting filled with quirky details, eccentric décor, and theatrical styling, all designed to surprise and delight from the moment they stepped inside.
Objectives & Brief
Knox Grammar tasked Pink Caviar Events with designing and executing a celebration that leaned fully into the curious chaos of Wonderland, while maintaining the high-end polish expected of this prestigious school event. The brief called for:
- Developing mood boards that captured the eccentric and surreal tone of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
- Sourcing unusual décor pieces and one-of-a-kind props to bring the story to life.
- Creating immersive entry and installation moments that wowed guests and offered memorable photo opportunities.
- Coordinating suppliers and managing full-on-the-day styling and logistics.
- Source entertainment to suit the theme.
Our Approach & Planning
The creative process began with a mood board bursting with eccentric detail, mismatched teacups and teapots, oversized floral arrangements, vintage pocket watches, and bold colour palettes. A stand-out entry archway was designed to symbolise the moment of falling down the rabbit hole, immediately setting the tone for the surreal experience to follow.
Working with trusted suppliers, we sourced unique and playful décor pieces, from quirky tableware to theatrical props, ensuring each element captured the offbeat charm of Wonderland. The styling concept embraced mischief and surprise while being carefully balanced with the sophistication and refinement that Knox Grammar expects for its signature celebration.
Event Execution
On the day, the event venue was transformed into a curious and colourful wonderland. The custom archway greeted guests before being immersed in a space filled with eclectic table settings, oversized installations, and vibrant lighting. Every corner revealed a surprise, quirky vignettes designed to delight guests and provide unforgettable photo moments.
Our team managed the whole build, bump-in, and supplier coordination, ensuring that each eccentric element worked cohesively within the space. Behind the scenes, logistics were handled seamlessly, allowing Knox Grammar to focus on the magic of the evening.
