Booking Your Wedding Ceremony And Venue Space - Vlog

When most brides start planning their big day, they are super excited and they invest several hours researching. From looking at dresses, wedding magazines, online blogs and Pinterest looking for ideas. Most brides do not start with booking a ceremony and venue space first and we are here to tell you why you should.

Booking Your Wedding Ceremony And Venue Space

Today we are going to talk about why booking your ceremony and venue space first is so important.

So you are planning your wedding and are very excited. Maybe you have started to look at dresses, flowers and cake designs. Maybe you have spent weeks flicking through wedding magazines, pouring over Pinterest or searching online for ideas.

But, before you start googling for the perfect hair and make up artist, centrepieces or that exotic honeymoon destination, we suggest that you secure your wedding ceremony and reception locations first.

Did you know that some of the most popular wedding locations book out 12 to 18 months in advance? You don’t want to miss out on your dream location only because someone else booked it first. After all, there is no point in finding an ideal showcase piece that you cannot show off properly.

Once you have secured your location, only then should you start looking at how to decorate the space.

We have seen couples come to us with a list of items they have either already booked or have their hearts set on having, only to find out that they have not secured a space or worse, their items don’t fit in the space. You should also check what is and is not allowed in the space. You don’t want to design your decorations around candles only to find out that you cannot have real candles in that space.

So to save yourself any headaches and lost deposits, we recommend using a professional service like us to locate and secure your ideal venue. If you prefer to do it yourself, make sure that you research and secure your wedding locations before you run off planning the finer details for your wedding. We also have a ceremony set-up option so check it out.

Until next time Happy Planning.

Do you have a favourite ceremony or venue space? If you did book (or are looking at now) how long did you have to book in advance to secure the location / venue? Let us know and join the discussion down below 🙂
